Extra Charges?

As a kid I used to love it when my mum told me that I had mail, it was always so exciting opening the letter to see who it was from. In this modern world of email all that I ever seem to receive these days are bills, bills and junk mail. There’s nothing fun about coming home from a relaxing holiday to find more bills waiting for you, but what if one of these bills is for the car you rented while overseas? If you booked through DriveAway Holidays you prepaid everything, so what do you do?

First of all have a look at what the supplier is billing you for. It could be that you decided to take out extra insurance, forgot to fill up with petrol before you returned the car or even didn’t pay the one way fee. It’s always important that you read the terms and conditions before you pick your car up to avoid these nasty surprises. If you have done damage to the vehicle the supplier will always charge you. Make sure to check over the car before you drive away and tell the attendant at the depot if you do find anything.

If you are sure that you shouldn’t be paying anything extra DriveAway Holidays will be able to help you. Our customer service team will be able to get in contract with the supplier and properly investigate why you have been charged. In order to do that we need to see a copy of your rental agreement and any other documentation that you might have for example in the event you have had an accident (police reports).

Our customer service team here at DriveAway Holidays will always do anything we can to help you out and get the best result for you that we can.

Tell us what you think! Is it unfair of car rental suppliers to charge you extra once you have prepaid your car rental?
