Well it’s been a long time coming but finally we are happy to announce our new DriveAway Hire Car Excess Insurance! Our new excess insurance is an excellent way to make sure you are covered, giving you peace of mind while you are on holidays.
So, what is DriveAway Hire Car Excess Insurance all about you ask. If you have an accident or your hire car is stolen you will have to pay the cars excess to the car hire supplier, however when you return back to Australia you can claim up to AUD5,000 back through DriveAway!
Prices range from AUD5.50 to AUD7.50 per day. These prices differ depending on what size and type of car you will be hiring; our reservations staff will be able to give you exact figures at time of booking. If you decide to take out excess insurance with the car hire supplier you will have to pay in the local currency, suppliers can often charge high amounts for their insurance which doesn’t always allow you to reduce your excess to nil.
If you need to make a claim with DriveAway Holidays all you have to do is download a claim form off the website and send it in along with your rental agreement, police report or accident/theft report.
