The festival as we imagine; Beer clutching men and women dressed in traditional Bavarian clothing, thankfully this celebration has much to offer. Once upon a time the festival kicked off in 1810 for a Royal Event and has continued ever since. Held for 16-18 days between the months of September and October, Oktoberfest provides activities for all ages. Whether it’s dancing on tables, or having a snooze under them, a ride with the kids or buying a souvenir to take home it will not disappoint.
This year the festival will be running from September 17th - October 3rd and will kick off when the Mayor of Munich taps the first keg at 12:00 noon.
Before the festive behaviour begins, arranging suitable transport to and from the event is essential.
Driveaway Holidays can provide travellers with an easy, reliable option of collecting and returning a vehicle in various locations throughout Germany and Europe.
